In 1996, the Tenors gave their first performance in the Taliesin Theatre at Swansea University. The idea was conceived as a way of raising funds for the Friends of Welsh National Opera. The acclaimed Soprano, Suzanne Murphy, was guest artist with the Tenors that evening and the event was so successful that they were subsequently asked to perform at many other venues. Since then, and with numerous personnel changes they have gone on to give over 150 performances of their show, all to critical great acclaim, and without denying the obvious allusion to the original Three Tenors, whose wonderful early performances inspired tonight's artists into performing their version of the concert.
The Three Other Tenors are Michael Clifton-Thompson, Howard Kirk and Gareth Dafydd Morris.
Doors open at 6.45 pm.
