This beautiful Victorian Music Hall in the market town of Settle is set between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. A wide programme of music, drama, comedy and film is supplemented by community events, workshops and indoor markets. The Hall is also available for hire and can accommodate a variety of needs.
Set up as a charity in 1991, Settle Victoria Hall Ltd was established in the beautiful Grade 2 listed building on Kirkgate. This original Victorian Music Hall building dates from 1853 and has been in continous use as such from that date.
Although the building is owned by Craven District Council, the Hall is run by the trustees and management team and is independent of the council.
We aim to cover all our running costs through the various activities in the Hall. The Friends and supporters of the Hall undertake a variety of fundraising events to supplement this and help with replacing worn equipment or buying new items.
In 2017 we were fortunate to be supported by The Key Fund to gain a financing facility from Northern Futures and Power to Change. This, along with generous donations from TRAMPS and local individuals has allowed the purchase of high end audio and visual equipment for the Hall.
We are grateful for the hard work of our dedicated team of volunteers. The Friends of Victoria Hall are active fundraisers and co-ordinate volunteers who help in various ways such as stewarding, box office duties and serving refreshments.
They are always looking for new members. If you have some spare time and want to help Victoria Hall or if you have ideas for fundraising or indeed would like to organise your own fundraising event then please get in touch.
