Festival In An Evening

Saturday 22nd July - 7.30 pm

A Celebration of the Finest of Ireland in an Evening

With Sean Cannon (the Dubliners), Harriet Earis, and Murphy's Marbles.

Enjoy all the atmosphere of a first class folk festival in the space of an evening. Besides three wonderful acts, all headliners in their own right, they also collaborate to bring additional variety to the evening. Making for a true festival feel of music song and humour.

Sean Cannon is renowned as a great deliverer of songs from pathos to humor. His expression and quality of delivery is grounded in the early days of traveling Europe with rucksack and guitar, acquiring in the process a fluent multilingual repertoire including French, German, Spanish and Gaelic. In the late 60s he went on to become a renowned solo artiste in his own right. After appearing with The Dubliners as a guest artist on a number of occasions, he accepted an invitation to join them in 1982. After which the rest is history, thirty years as lead singer and guitarist with arguably the most famous Irish folk band in the world.

Harriet Earis has played solo in the Albert Hall and 02 Arena in London. In 2007 she won an Open Stage prize at "Celtic Connections" in Glasgow and represented Wales in the Festival Interceltique in Lorient. She tours regularly across America and Europe. "A star in the British folk firmament" (Musician Magazine).

Murphy's Marbles have performed the length and breadth of the country, Ireland, and Europe at numerous major venues. Their stage performance is charismatic and dynamic spiced with humour and audience participation. Their music is Celtic based, a mixture of traditional and contemporary with a cutting edge. They also have an impressive portfolio of their own material.

Doors open at 6.45 pm.

All tickets: £14.00.
